D & D ENGINEERING - OUR MISSION

We sell all types of sensors, transducers and transmitters for the measurement of physical properties. These properties include temperature, pressure, flow, force, torque, level, humidity, voltage, current, power, and toxic and hazardous gas concentration. We add to our sensor mix recorders, microprocessor controllers, signal conditioners, isolators and re-transmitters.

We are an applications driven company. We assist our clients from the very beginning, guiding them to make the best choices through each stage of a project. We include the details needed for a complete measurement or control solution. In addition to specific hardware recommendations, we also provide detailed pricing and delivery information.

Our complementary, yet varied product line provides our customers with a selection of high quality products at competitive prices. All of our products can be applied to OEM and end-user applications. We really are the Sensor Guys, Your Measurement and Control Connection.

Here's a quotation from Dave Snyder, President of D&D Engineering:

"Our customers are often unsure of how to solve their measurement needs. We offer an application driven approach to solve their problem. This means that we look for the best technical solution regardless of the manufacturer. Our titles are 'Sales Engineer', but we are all graduate engineers with over 50 years of instrumentation and controls experience."

BRIEF HISTORY OF D & D ENGINEERING

D & D Engineering was formed in 1987 by David Snyder as a part-time consulting company in the instrument marketing and test equipment design field. In July of 1993 the company became a Manufacturer's Representative company when Dave realized that most representative companies do not help their Principals get designed into their customer's products. Dave felt this was an important part of being a Representative, and since he had an extensive background in Sales and Marketing Management and Engineering, he decided that this was the avenue he would like to pursue on a full-time basis.

DAVID SNYDER, PRESIDENT -- BACKGROUND AND STAFF

Dave has been a design engineer as well as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at several prominent corporations, including Validyne Engineering, Transducer Technologies, Incorporated, and MagneTek Transducer Products. In addition, Dave designed instrument systems and has been responsible for test activities throughout his professional career. As a Manufacturer's Representative, he utilized his background in instrumentation to assist his Principals in getting designs into customer products and to assist potential customers in selecting the correct transducer to solve various technical problems.

The philosophy of D & D Engineering is threefold. The first one is to assist customers in selecting the correct solution to solve their measurement problems. The second is to help define the application to each of its Principals from a technical standpoint. And the third is to provide the pricing details of the competitive products offered.

D & D Engineering became a Division of DND Technologies, Incorporated in February of 1995, and now operates as such. There are two offices in the state of California, with the corporate office located in Northridge, in Southern California.

The Northern California office was opened in Shingle Springs, CA and is staffed by Cathy Loganwho joined the company in June of 2000. This office is responsible for all sales in Northern California.

D & D’s primary focus has been OEM accounts, and their product lines reflect that target market.

With product variation, D & D Engineering can assist its Customers and Principals in offering the best in a variety of fields. And, with a selective line list, D & D can devote more time to each Principal, and spend more time with each Customer. As a result, the Principals will receive more for their money, and the Customers will acquire more customized and high-quality products in an atmosphere that is friendly and provides competitive pricing.

In 1995 D & D Engineering expanded its product lines into the Process Control and Automation markets. A copy of D & D’s Line List is attached for your review. You will notice that D & D’s specialty is Pressure, Temperature, OEM and Instrumentation applications, and its territory is currently exclusive to California and Nevada.

In late 1997 we added several distributor products to our Line List in selective areas. These products augment our Line List and expand us into the Process Control marketplace.

In late 1996 D & D Engineering joined the Electronic Representative Association (ERA). Since this organization is devoted primarily to Manufactures Representatives we felt that this would enhance our professional position and establish us with other professionals in the same profession. In addition to ERA we have affiliation with the Instrument Society of America (ISA) and the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE).

In November of 1998 Jerry Becker rejoined the company as Program Manager of Systems Integration. In addition, Jerry assists in the Representative marketing area and performs several sales functions. Jerry is has a Degree in Control Systems Engineering and Is Registered Professional Engineering for Control Systems in the state of California. Jerry has become a valuable asset to the company.

Since we started as a Consulting Company we have kept abreast with the technological advances in the Instrumentation, Process Control and Automation industries. We have maintained a small engineering staff to assist Customers with custom designs and have designed several systems and products. Always keeping in mind our Principals and their products in these designs.

We can offer our customers quick response to specific designs and prototyping in circuits, products and systems. We have designed products that were CE Approved and CSA Approved for Intrinsically Safe environments. Depending on the customer’s requirements the design activity through prototypes have taken as little as 3 weeks to 3 months.

As a result of our membership in ERA we are affiliated with several Manufacture Representatives in other fields and other states. This expands our horizons beyond the Manufacture Representative and Distributor of Instrumentation Products and Control Systems.

We have grown steadily and will continue to grow with a philosophy of assisting our Customers and Principals with their products and keeping a high profile support in Applications and Engineering.
